Savory Cheddar Oats

Ingredients:

– ½ cup Real California cheddar cheese, shredded – 1 cup steel cut oats – 3 cups water – 1 tablespoon lemon juice – ¼ cup crushed pistachios – Salt and pepper to taste

Directions:

Bring water to a boil in medium size pot. Add the oats and mix. Reduce heat to low and cover. Cook for 25 minutes. After 25 minutes, remove from heat and mix the oats with the cheese and lemon juice. Mix well. Lightly salt and pepper then add crushed pistachios for added crunch and color.
